Since qualifying as a Registered Nurse for Adults (Diploma) (Tayside and UU) I went on to complete my BSc in Health Studies (QUB) before going on to train in counselling to masters level. Also qualified as a Clinical Supervisor.
I have worked in the NHS and Independent Sector as a Nurse in Northern Ireland and Scotland before pursuing my career within the Independent Sector and performing as a senior manager/director over multi sites for the last 20 years. My knowledge lies in Care Homes, Nursing Agency and Domiciliary Care. During my time I have conducted all activities associated with operationally managing services and in addition have generated and commissioned new services/business and new categories of care. I commenced my Consultancy work in 2009. I am passionate about maintaining standards and delivering excellence in Nursing and as such held a public appointment as a council member for NIPEC for 10 years.

An important measure of quality is the extent to which service users’ needs and expectations are met. Deborah’s monthly visit assists in the auditing of systems that affect service user access, service user safety, and support for service user engagement. The report identifies areas for improvement, is factually based and concentrates on key processes as the route to better results focusing on service users, staff and other stakeholders. Improvements for the service are relevant, measurable, accurate and feasible.”
Deborah Oktar-Campbell works as a consultant for Trackars Healthcare. She carries out monthly inspections and completes the Reg 29 as required by RQIA. Deborah will identify any issues and provide advice on how to deal with them. She is up to date with current legislation and the NMC code of practice. And therefore is a valuable source of information for the company. On occasion when I have asked for advice she has been able to provide it immediately. Deborah is professional and approachable at all times.
Deborah has been providing a Consultancy Service to the Home since November 2016. During these months we have found her to be very knowledgeable and approachable. She has developed an excellent rapport with our residents, their visitors and the staff. We greatly appreciate the clear guidance Deborah has given as to how we can continually improve the quality of care we endeavour to deliver.
